Philosophy
Piano Studio of Hanna Lim Murphy offers thoughtfully tailored piano lessons that meet each student’s individual needs, learning style, and musical goals. Ms. Hanna places a strong emphasis on solid fundamentals and music theory, providing students with the tools to truly understand music. At the same time, She believes it is essential to never lose sight of the joy of learning — piano lessons should be engaging, creative, and fun. Music is meant to be played, explored, and enjoyed, and Ms.Hanna strives to foster a positive environment where students feel motivated, confident, and excited to make music.

About Hanna Lim Murphy
Hanna Lim Murphy holds a Bachelor of Music in Piano Performance and is currently pursuing her Master of Music in Piano Performance and Piano Pedagogy at the University of Houston (graduation Spring 2026). With extensive experience and a deep passion for music, Ms. Hanna is dedicated to nurturing the musical growth and artistic development of her students.
In addition to her private teaching, she serves as a Teaching Assistant for Music Theory and Aural Skills courses at the University of Houston, further strengthening her foundation in music education. Ms. Hanna is also an active accompanist, currently performing for Sunday services at Spring Community Church and collaborating with multiple schools in Conroe ISD for choir and band UIL events and performances. With over 20 years of accompanying experience, including work with musicals and a wide range of ensemble and solo performances, she brings a broad, practical musicianship to her teaching and collaborative work.
